Nel silenzio della Costituzione il problema della rieleggibilità è rimasto aperto. Certo, è vero che 7 anni è già una durata lunga, quindi la rielezione non sembra opportuna in una logica di alternanza del potere. Ma, per esattezza, non è vietata, quindi è ben possibile.
